Following on from his support set for Frank Turner at the enormous Wembley Arena on 13th April, which culminated in a crowdsurf that took him all the way from the stage to the back bar after a raucous rendition of his new song "Hello Wembley", the incomparable Beans On Toast has announced his largest London headline show to date at the beautiful Scala in Kings Cross.
The gravel voiced singer songwriter's big date will come on 27th September 2012, and will follow a summer of festival dates, including stops at Kendal and Standon Calling, Eden Festival, and Blissfields Festival. For this year’s festival season, Beans has put together a makeshift band to "help him stay in time with himself". He promises a set of old favourites and new subject matter that deals with droughts, wars, Pagans, protests and Wetherspoons pubs.
