Watch: Smoke Fairies' "We've Seen Birds"

Smoke Fairies recently premiered their video for "We've Seen Birds", the lead track from the newly-released self-titled album "Smoke Fairies", which was out earlier this month. The video was shot on location in Chichester and was directed by Jonathan Pound, who also directed the video for the album debut "Eclipse Them All". The video features a magnificent bird sculpture created and hand-made on the video shoot location by Smoke Fairies.

There was a moment, after the release of the Smoke Fairies last record, when Jessica Davies turned to her band mate, Katherine Blamire, and told her she was no longer sure Smoke Fairies should continue... However for Smoke Fairies the idea of not playing music together affected more than just their band — theirs was a friendship forged by music and a shared ambition that carried them from their school days and on to a song-writing career. Realising that giving up on the band was not an option, Davies wrote a musical apology to Blamire that would become "We've Seen Birds". "I just wanted to say sorry to her," she says. "Sorry I scared you like that."
