Our Rating:
This CD didn't have a press release with it so I just have the minimal info on the cover to go on that proudly boasts "no guitars or synthesizers were used on this recording". Well that's a relief or I'd have wanted to shoot the guitarist!!

So what has Jeff Carey used to give his listeners the migraines they need to get off work? I'd guess that a bit like Pan Sonic did before they were forced to drop the 'A' he is manipulating plugs and wires going into a mixer and has some circuit bending gear; maybe a record deck that has the needle playing on the run out grooves, an air conditioning unit that's been miked up... anything guaranteed to make tuneless annoying noises that can be used to clear venues while claiming to be the latest in Drill and Bass-reversed psychosis nosebleed-inducing node torturers.

The sounds splatter across the speakers throughout the album's 22 minutes during which the 5 gaps between the 6 pieces act as a portal of relief from the sonic mayhem fighting to give you the worst headache you can remember.

This is music you need to be in the right mood for and it will be one dark terrifying mood that would require such a condensed dose of metal machine style noise thuggery to blow your mind to some kind of musical torture chamber. Not for listeners who like melody tunes and safety. Yes it's given me a headache both times I've played it.
