‘Circus Boy’ is FlashfFires’ debut single. They manage to pack a fair bit into three and a half minutes. A choppy indie rock tune to begin with, it kicks into an altogether chunkier chorus, while in the mid-section bearing a strong resemblance to ‘An Honest Mistake’ by The Bravery. Many would scoff, but I’d say that it’s a good thing. Moreover, it works well here: ‘Circus Boy’ is a catchy guitar-driven blast of energy, impassioned and infectious. Noice.
