Review: 'MEN AMONG ANIMALS'
'Kathy'

-  Label: 'Tapete'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'April 2014'

Our Rating:
'Kathy' is the lead single release taken from the album 'Buried Handsome' by the Danish experimental pop band Men Among Animals, and what a single it is.

This is very trippy-hippy, and evokes the spirit of the late 1960s. The guitar and drums sound very similar to The Stones on 'Street Fighting Man', and with an echo-y vocal over the top, this is the sound for warm days and cool lazy evenings. The lyrics flow easily, although they may not make literal sense: - “Kathy, do you remember how we based?/ When we were talking embracing love and each other's face/ This is for all the related songs we threw away/ Kathy come into your home.”

On the strength of a single this good, the album will probably be a real blast. Consider my interest piqued.
