Review: 'Lust'
'Looking Glass'

-  Label: 'Crocodile Records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '14th July 2014'

Our Rating:
The press releases promises a hypnotic groove, with ghostly harmonies and unusual pop hooks that invite passing comparisons to Stereolab and My Bloody Valentine. It’s right, and my work is done, right?

Well, partly, but to unpack that a bit, the quintet consisting of three Swedish girls - Anna Haara Kristoferson (vocals and synths), Moa Papillon (vocals and guitars), Andrea Muller (vocals and bass) together with English born Alex Burke (guitar) and Roberto Conigliaro from Italy on drums – have produced something special here.

Nagging cyclical guitar riffs swathed in reverb forge a deep psych-edged swirl of sound pinned in place by propulsive percussion and a thumping bass while the ethereal vocal melodies soar skyward.
