‘Gather You’ is an awesomely eclectic song from the innovative new EP from Fire Proof Giant. An acoustic, indie vibe with a folk twist - this song certainly makes for an interesting listen. With many layers of silky vocals, acoustic guitar and even strings, this music is something a bit different but definitely worth some attention. The vocals in this track are definitely the star of the show with some almost rap like rhythmic vocals in places, alongside some rich vocal tones and powerful singing. This song is filled to bursting with new ideas, sounds and talent. Having first gained inspiration from many musicians all over the world in a circus front man Gareth Jones decided to take his experiences from performing with the circus to performing with his new project ‘Fire Proof Giant’. They have since been described as “intense, haunting and pulsating†(The Independent). If ‘Gather You’ is anything to go by then I can certainly see where The Independent is coming from. Fireproof Giant are certainly on my ones to watch list!
