Revolting Cocks are BACK! Wax Trax Records are BACK! It’s 1992 all over again! Well, not quite, but thankfully, instead of the embarrassing half-arsed Revco parody of their previous return and the live shows that were revolting but featured no original cocks whatsoever, this latest incarnation of the band with an ever-revolving door features former cock and Ministry / Pigface man Chris Connelly in collaboration with Jason Novak.
Ahead of the album, ‘TKO Mindfuck’ (which features Front 242’s Richard 23, also a founding Cock and) and here in the form of an 8-minute mix (accompanied by a remix of another album track and the exclusive ‘The Nurses of Cocksure Island’) is a suitably gnarly slab of abrasive electro-industrial racket. A groove-laden bassline and hard-edged techno beat pulsate beneath a screed of noise over which distorted vocals growl and snarl unintelligibly.

It lacks the humour of ‘Da Ya think I’m Sexy’ and the sleaze grind of ‘Beers, Steer and Queers’, but does call to mind earlier Revco and ‘Twitch’ era Ministry. And that’s no bad thing.
