The angry-looking wolf, an explosion of blood and hieroglyphs bursting from its jaws, that graces the cover of this EP says Generation Graveyard are angry bastards, and that ‘Lonewolves’ is a fierce, ferocious beast of a release. And so it is.
Inspired by urban isolation, an outcast lifestyle and social upheaval, the fivesome meld serrated metal with angry punk and the grimy grittiness of acts like Anti Nowhere League. It’s a hellish wall of noise that conveys perfectly the greasy mess of tattoos and torn leathers the band are. They don’t do delicate or subtle and pound away, spitting and grinding through a gut-churning guitar assault to produce the sonic equivalent of a headbutt. Rrrrrrrawwwr!
