Review: 'Maxdmyz'
'The Hate Plane'

-  Album: 'The Hate Plane'
-  Genre: 'Heavy Metal' -  Release Date: '18th August 2014'

Our Rating:
Straight out of the traps, Maxdmyz make a very metal noise racket, propelled by full-throttle industrial percussion. While very much geared toward the rapidfire, fast-paced thrashier end of the industrial metal spectrum, ‘The Hate Plane’ demonstrates a diversity and imagination that’s rare in the field.

Spacious lead guitar lines contrast with wall-of-noise chugging rhythm guitars and thunderous, shredding basslines. Twister is also a versatile vocalist, switching between theatrical bombast and scorched guttural growls. ‘Hate Injustice’ and ‘Nothing Ever Change’ sound more like Rollins Band with a dash of Faith No More thrown in. The darkly gothic ‘Void’ contrasts with the anthemic ‘All’, and over the course of the album’s 13 tracks they explore the metal spectrum in full.
