Review: 'OSO LEONE'
'Mokragora'

-  Label: 'El Segell del Primavera'
-  Genre: 'Post-Rock' -  Release Date: '1st September 2014'-  Catalogue No: 'PS012CD'

Our Rating:
Two words come to mind when you hear this album - Talk and Talk.

Oso Leone have all the refined mystery and grace as the Mark Hollis-led masterpieces Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock. Somewhat improbably they come from Mallorca in Spain

Lyrically it is minimalistic yet resolutely poetic, qualities which perfectly blend with the richly textured sound. "I'm a fire to you you're a river to me" goes one line from Alçaria

The guitars and synthy gloss of the nine tracks combine seamlessly to create a wonderfully organic whole.

This is the band's second album and was originally released in April 2013. It is a huge leap forward from the relatively conventional, and more acoustic, indie-rock of their self titled debut.

The rapid re-release will hopefully garner Mokragora the wider attention it richly deserves.
