Review: 'Durnan, Samantha'
'Who Would Have Thought'

-  Label: 'Ditto Music'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '24th November 2014'

Our Rating:
‘Who Would Have Thought’ is a piano-led piece of contemporary pop. Taking inspiration from Stevie Nicks, KT Tunstall and Michelle Branch, Teeside songstrel Samantha has been getting her name and songs known an ever-widening audience thanks to support spots with the likes of Kate Nash, Beverley Knight and Ed Sheeran.

It’s perhaps not the richest song for substance you’ll hear, and while Samantha’s voice isn’t especially distinctive, it’s certainly pleasant enough. The song does also boast some big, dramatic beats and a surging chorus. It’s nicely realised with a very full production. It’s also extremely radio-friendly and has great chart potential.
