Review: 'Panic Island'
'Cabin Fever EP'

-  Label: 'Flat 4 Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '18th May 2015'

Our Rating:
On their debut EP, Panic Island reveal an optimally hybrid sound that’s honed to perfection to deliver a set that’s very much of the punchy alt-rock persuasion, but with a pop accessibility. Produced by Paul Tipler (Eighties Matchbox, Idlewild, The Horrors) lead track ‘Temples’ plucks elements of Neil Young’s ‘Rocking in the Free World’ and J Mascis’ guitar solo sound and welds them to a choppy (post)punk rhythm guitar. It all adds up to an uplifting three minutes.

The rest of the EP is in the same vein, and it ain’t bad either.
