The pictures of the band members in the studio include a shot of a dog at the controls. He’s not listed in the band personnel and it’s not clear what contribution the mutt made to the recording of the nine tracks on ‘Désarrroi’. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting and atmospheric collection that shifts from chiming post-rock to drum-driven Krautrock drone. It’s eclectic, it’s unusual, and at times, dog or no dog, it’s absolutely barking!
