Review: 'Billion Lions, A'
'Doomsday Babies'

-  Label: 'End Of The Trail Records'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '13th July 2015.'

Our Rating:
Steve Lamaq’s got himself so excited about this single he’s played it twice in the last five days and frothed about the urgency of the track from this Leeds/Bradford punk combo.

The comparisons that have been rolling in are fairly wide-ranging, spanning Henry Rollins, Pavement, Frank Turner, Allusondrugs, Courtney Barnett and Blink 182, but what really matters is that it builds on the momentum of their well-received debut (an 8/10 from us).

While so many bands drawing on US punk / rock sounds offer a sanitised, radio-friendly take on them, A Billion Lions focus on the energy. ‘Doomsday Babies’ is a bouncy, spirited thrashabout that’s infectious and raw.
