Review: 'Rush, Dasha'
'Sleepstep – Sonar Poems for My Sleepless Friends'

-  Album: 'Sleepstep – Sonar Poems for My Sleepless Friends' -  Label: 'Raster-Noton'
-  Genre: 'Ambient' -  Catalogue No: 'R-N 158'

Our Rating:
Tentative piano plonks and drops against sparse, ambling, woozy bass and bloopy, other-wordly analogue electronica, and spaced-out beats provide the backdrop to occasional vocals, eerily detached, flatly monotone. The atmosphere is what matters here, and ‘Sleepstep’ is hazy, dreamy, creating a sense of the unfamiliar and the uncanny.
