Review: 'Dark Buddha Rising'
'Inversum'

-  Album: 'Inversum' -  Label: 'Neurot Recordings'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '25th September 2015'

Our Rating:
With two tracks clocking in at around 24 minutes apiece, referring to the ‘songs’ on the album would be a mistake: these aren’t songs, but immense aural experiences which are almost immeasurable in their scale, and wholly consume the listener in their dense and vast expanses.

Dark Buddha Rising don’t go for down-tuned as much as discovering new frequencies.
‘ESO’ concludes by locking into a mesmerising, metronomic groove that spirals its way into the psyche and builds to a snarling, manic climax.

‘EXO’ represents something of a reverse; slower, at first plodding through a simple, monotonous barrelling bass none, it finally beaks to unleash powerchords of cosmic enormity.
