Review: 'Bloodhounds On My Trail'
'She’s in My Plans'

-  Label: 'Moon Sounds Records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '14th February 2016'

Our Rating:
Following the release of ‘Jolly’, which also appears on the EP in remix form courtesy dreampop duo Ummagma, Melbourne shoegaze merchants Bloodhounds On My Trail (I’m going to have a stab they got their names from the Black Angels track on the ‘Passover’ album) lift a second single cut from their ‘Escape II’ EP in the form of ‘She’s In My Plans’. A sprawling six-and-a-half minute epic, it’s a wistful, romantic song which rides gracefully along on an immersive tide of guitars so drenched in FX as to be cloud-like. It’s pinned down and holds its structure due to a throbbing bassline. Together, it’s a majestic and magnificent achievement.
