With a wonky guitar sound, heavy on chorus and flange, and overdiven too, and so the sound of resembling a drunk hornet the size of a house on the attack, you might think that this swampy, psychedelic goth-grunge monster is all about the guitar. But no. It’s the bass. The bass not only holds it together, but drives it along, and hard, as the band lumber and lurch from ugly scene to ugly scene, punctuated by a chorus from the other side.
AA-side ‘Enough Nothing’ marries the spirit of Seatle circa 1989 with summery 60s pop and wraps it all up with a psychedelic twist. Imagine Nirvana in collaboration with Syd Barret era Pink Floyd. Only better. Way better.
