Review: 'JUPITER HOLLOW'
'Odyssey (EP)'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '13th January 2017'

Our Rating:
In which two young men from Barrie, Ontario -namely Grant MacKenzie and Kenny Parry treat us to five tracks of synth'n'guitar driven prog-rock full of showy solos and screechy vocals.

They cite A Perfect Circle as one of their main influences but they actually sound more like Yes. To cut to the chase, this is precisely the sort of bombastic excess that punk tried, but failed, to destroy.

The lyrics are like extracts from half remembered SciFi novels or spout pseudo-spiritual gibberish.

"When your God breaks down who is left in the glass?" enquires Parry from Deep In Space.

Even if the question made any sense, who really cares?
