Review: 'TERRY'
'Remember Terry'

-  Label: 'Upset The Rhythm'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '7 July 2017'-  Catalogue No: 'UTR 097'

Our Rating:
Terry do DIY bedroom indie pop and this is their second album on Upset The Rhythm. They consist of two females and two males and share vocal duties. The lightweight aesthetic of the music often masks a more heavy lyrical content so all is not quite as it seems.

'Give Up The Crown', 'Gun' and 'The Colonel' are evidence of this. In fact the same could be said of the majority of these tracks. 'Take Me To The City' is a highlight for me. A languorous stroll through the city at night. Bigger reputations have been made from lesser material.

'Risk' is more sombre, equally melodic and particularly scathing. It is a good (almost) instrumental. 'Glory' and 'Homage'sound like classics from yesteryear, maybe early Flying Nun? Keep an eye on Terry. It might be better if you know what he's up to.
