bands, being alone and facing new starts in life. But after a difficult time which included finding himself sentenced to home detention, he’s refocused his life and with a second tour for his debut solo album, released a full three years ago, now in the offing, ‘Sun Goes Down’ stands as the platform for his reinvigorated return.
It might be somewhat reductive to say that it sounds like AC/DC, and moreover, it wouldn’t be entirely accurate: however, it is a straight-ahead rock tune, and propelled by Rudd’s distinctive, no-messing drumming, that there are similarities is inevitable. ‘Sun Goes Down’ is old-school hard rock done the way it should be, and it’s hard to argue with that.
