Review: 'Addictive pHilosopHy'
'(Not a) Novelty'

-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '1st September 2017'

Our Rating:
Despite the Sex Pistols-style typeface, Addictive pHilosopHy showcase some irritatingly misplaced capitalisation and an aggressive ska sound. That it’s not a novelty is true: it’s all been done before, although credit where it’s due, rarely has it been executed with such punky ferocity. The rapidfire bass drum attack is a nice touch which really drives the track, on which the band make an unswerving attack on middle class youth and cultural appropriation. They do it with conviction and passion, and I hope for their sake they don’t attract a fanbase of middle-class college crusties when they hit the festival circuit.
