Review: 'WHISPERTOWN'
'I'm A Man'

-  Label: 'Graveface Records'
-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: '1st September 2017'

Our Rating:
Despite the album title, LA based Morgan Meyn Nagler is not a man.

Formerly known as Whispertown 2000, this is her third full length release and follows a health scare (a polyp on her vocal chord) which threatened to end her singing career.

The muted, mostly acoustic quality of this album doesn't put too much strain on her voice as she reflects on how life is a Big Fish, on what brings on tears (Can't Stop Cryin') and in which she concludes that Love Is All You Need.

The songs are quirky yet personal in such an Aimee Mann kind of way that maybe she meant to call the record 'I'm a Mann'.
