Review: 'SOURIN'
'Kakyou'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Ambient' -  Release Date: '6th November 2017'

Our Rating:
Sourin is Tomoya Shiono, a Japanese electronica artist who also goes under the name of White Creature among others.

This is his second album as Sourin and the title translates as 'climax'.

Shiono describes himself as a "sound creator" and his work is busy but pretty accessible.

Over the five tunes and a playing time of around 40 minutes the mood swings from bright and cheery to dark and fuzzy.

Kochi is the poppiest piece, while the prominent bass rhythms closer Kusalkire is the funkiest.

A drum pulse is a constant so there's a always a sense of restless energy and momentum more than stasis.
