The Bedfordshire band reckon this, their third EP, is ‘definitely the most emotionally involved collection of music’ they’ve written as a band, and ‘hope that behind the big riffs and catchy choruses, people hear the messages in the songs and enjoy them on that level too!’
Um. Mostly, on the EP’s lead single cut ‘Getaway’ I hear ‘wooooaah-oh-hoooo’ rather than emotion. And on the remainder of the EP, I hear mostly overwrought emo. The guitars may be up in the mix and have some chunk to them, but then there are some really obvious gentle passages that play the whole reflective, plaintive card an they’re all about the anguish and the heartbreak and the pain of breakups and betrayal and… meh. Heard it all before.
