A choppy, toppy guitar nags away through this uptempo, upbeat, breezy indie tune. The trio may hail from Buffalo, NY, but there’s a keen Brit tinge to the jaunty vibes of ‘Heat of the Fire,’ the title of which makes me think of cozying down with a hot toddy on a winter’s night, and which is quite a contrast to the sunny, summery tones of the song itself.
And yes, sometimes, writing about music is like dancing about architecture. You don’t need words. You just need to hear it.
