Review: 'MARRIAGE, THE'
'Live, Love, Cry (single)'

-  Label: 'The Marriage Music'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '2nd November 2018'

Our Rating:
"Our songs are intimate but they're not about us" says Kirsten Adamson who has clearly forged a strong musical bond with London-born Dave Burn even though the couple are not married.

She is the daughter of Skids and Big Country frontman Stuart Adamson and grew up dividing time between her mother in Scotland and father in Nashville.

The music city influence is most apparent in Live, Love,Cry, a simple but effective country song in which the female protagonist is resigned and philosophical about a break-up: "In my head I'm singing songs about freedom, in my heart I'm singing songs about goodbye".

This song follows up their previous single 'I Used To Think' and is the lead track to an EP scheduled for release in 2019, with an album to follow. On the basis of the two tracks they've released so far, the new material should be well worth checking out.
