BlackieBlueBird are a Danish dream pop duo comprising the pure, silken vocals of Heidi Lindahl and the muted, drum-free melodies of composer/producer Nils Lassen.
Together they guide us with delicacy and grace down the Ghost River in which our destinies are likened to "tiny twigs floating along the flow of a gentle water stream". Needless to say, the songs follow a course which is neither rapid nor turbulent.
Instead, the twelve tunes glide along with yearning references to flying angels, the moon and stars, strange sensations and weary hearts.
Tracks such as The Wind That Sweeps Me Away and Life's Been Raining All Day suggest that since we're all at the mercy of the elements we should simply all relax and go with the flow.
