Always good to hear some GB! His first album in six years and 45th in all, this is his tribute to the music of Fats Domino and Chuck Berry.
All in all this is a very tasteful affair (hey it's George Benson!) and the interpretations are respectful to the originals. George plays them like a man who knows them back to front which he probably does.
My personal favourites are the Fats numbers, "Ain't That a Shame", "I Hear You Knockin'" and the iconic "Walking To New Orleans" and from Chuck I would pick out "Memphis Tennessee", "How You've Changed" and "Havana Moon". "How You've Changed" is relaxed and romantic and "Havana Moon" showcases George's exceptional talent perfectly. What's not to love?
