Review: 'EUPHEMIA RISE'
'Farewell To Greatness (EP)'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '22nd December 2020'

Our Rating:
This is the debut EP by the Belgian artist Wim Lankriet who previously operated as part of Magdelena Soils and on a solo project: Syrenomelia.

His aim now is "to explore the more experimental sides of alternative rock, and to find new freshness, new strangeness, away from music industry stereotypes.

The EP features two short tracks, both under 3 minutes.

Farewell to Greatness is about seeking sexual identity as a teenager "back in my days of sleeze and holiness".

Cirrus Minor is a fairly straight cover of the hazy folk track from Pink Floyd's 'More' soundtrack complete with cosmic organ finale.

As with Syrenomelia's 'A Rose Shattered' EP , for the full effect these are best listened to with the accompanying visuals which are full of dark, gothic imagery .
