Review: 'DRAGON WELDING'
'Lights Behind The Eyes'

-  Label: 'Dimple Disc Records'
-  Genre: 'Ambient' -  Release Date: '7th May 2021'

Our Rating:
The bushy-tailed guitar instrumentals on this 35 minute album make for energized ambience that go way beyond discrete background sounds. Andrew Golding says: “I wanted to make music that you can relax to while keeping your guard up.”

When not flying solo, Golding is part of Essex post-rockers The Wolfhounds. Operating as Dragon Welding (an anagram of his name) this LP follows his eponymous debut from 2019.

He creates seven nicely varied mood pieces ranging from lilting loops to cosmic freakouts as if designed as an exercise to combat boredom.
