Our Rating:
The Anti Album is the latest solo album by Terrorvision lead singer Tony Wright, this isn't soaked in Tequila, instead being soaked in regrets and bruised feelings at what life throws at you. This is Tony's more reflective side and is almost totally acoustic.

The album opens with Sleep a slow acoustic indie-blues song, as Tony tries to save himself from the depths, as he seeks salvation in the poetry you write for him, as he stands performing this like he's busking in a subway, according to the miner notes anyway.

Nothing To Write Home About is a kitchen sink drama about a mundane life, relationship as thinks go awry, as she social climbs, he succumbs to the depths, played like they are sitting round throwing lines at each other, as he sings of his love of Beyonce and Beiber among others in the desert blues of lost love.

Get It Wrong has an acoustic prog intro, as this evocative soul baring song of love gone wrong yet again, sees Tony still trying to find a way to get it right for once, as he realizes the best way is to switch to mandolin instead of vox, it may work if she likes more classical or Spanish music.

Buried You Deeper is a slow song of moving on, hoping to have properly buried your past mistakes, just in case they come back to haunt you once more.

Dreaming In Love sounds like an early morning heartbreaker, as he wakes up alone once more over a slow strummed acoustic guitar or regret.

All In Our Heads has some slightly paranoid thoughts about what went wrong as the finger picked guitar caresses his soul, slowly building as things have gone totally wrong, the accordion feels us with emotion.

Heaven is the first song to have some bass on it, as he talks about wanting to take a selfie when he meets his maker, the chugging riff has a few things going on around it, as the backing vocals come in to emphasize the main vocals desperate pleas.

Hearts & Minds is a song for raising a toast to those members of your family and friends who have gone and need a toast to remember them by, we all wish we could have spent more time with certain people who have now gone. Just let Tony have one last cuddle before you go.

Cannonball feels sparser, more downbeat, barely able to get my rumination on how you survive, finding a way to thrive, without succumbing to despair.

The album closes with Gamble Drink & Smoke that sounds like the most upbeat song on the album, with an opening line about turning 100 and getting that telegram from the queen, the song is about his secrets for a long life, yes spend your life Gambling Drinking and Smoking and having a good laugh.
