UMC and Abkco Records are pleased to announce the digital only release of the accompanying soundtrack to the hotly-tipped ‘Percy Jackson: The Lightening Thief’. The fantasy adventure film, directed by Chris Columbus, is an adaptation of The Lightening Thief, the first novel in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series by Rick Riordan.
Set in the modern world, the twelve gods of Mount Olympus are alive and creating a new race of mythological heroes who are demi-gods – half mortal, half god. Percy, the teenage son of Poseidon is suspected by Zeus of stealing his lightening bolt, the universes’ most powerful weapon. To prove his innocence and avoid a devastating war among the gods, Percy embarks on a transcontinental odyssey to find the real thief.
