Review: 'Emm, Terry'
'Loved and Never Lost'

-  Label: 'Azez Records'
-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: '3rd June 2013'-  Catalogue No: 'AZEZ001CD'

Our Rating:
The spin is that Terry Emm is gaining an increasing amount of recognition and plaudits (Bob Harris and Mojo have both raved about him) for creating slow burning understated alt-folk with beautiful arrangements, English sensibilities and endearing poetic lyrics/ For 'understated' read 'dull' and for 'endearing poetic lyrics' read 'slightly pretentious'. 'Loved and Never Lost' gives us some delicate, ponderous, string-soaked singer-songwriterly musings about love and the passage of time it's pleasant and... it's the kind of wet nothing song that lame couples would make 'their song'. Me, I'm not having it.
