Review: 'GIANT FANG'
'Aqualung (single)'

-  Label: 'POP unLTD'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '23rd June 2013'

Our Rating:
The first thing you need to know is that this song has no resemblance whatsoever to the Jethro Tull album/tune of the same name.

Giant Fang is producer, session man and tour manager Douglas Wilson from Glasgow. This single is the product of the inspiration and boredom from long period spent on the road.

There are no obvious clues as to what it is about from a photo of crashing waves on the cover art or from the nautically themed video that accompanies it.

All I can say is that it is founded on a big summery pop groove in which the sun, sea and stars appear to be significant reference points.

The two b-sides are remixes from fellow Scottish artists - three-piece Prides and Unicorn Kid (Edinburgh's Oliver Sabin).

These go along with the flow of the serene synth-pop textures to be found the original version.
