Review: 'Jacques Caramac & the Sweet Generation'
'Snowballs / Take it Where You Find it'

-  Label: 'Everyday Life Recordings/ Rocket Girl'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '5th August 2013'-  Catalogue No: 'ELR002'

Our Rating:
While I still can’t help but wonder if the name (a shameful play on Jack Kerouac and the Beat Generation) isn’t an impedance to Jaques and crew connecting with an audience and I suspect the timing of this release will do them no favours, (putting out a single entitled ‘Snowballs’ in the middle of the summer season would be daft even if we hadn’t witnessed the hottest July in a very long time), it’s hard to be hard on them.

They’ve evidently got a knack for knocking out snappy indie-pop (iced) gems, and with the tracks each clocking in at just over two and a half jangly minutes this double A-side is pretty tasty.
