Eerie drones rumble, quiet scrapes and flakes of feedback filter through the sonic fog of this EP. There are brief hints of musical majesty, but they’re fleeting and ephemeral. Warped tribal beats and eastern vibes clatter on the breeze.
In Scott Solter’s remixes of Erik Friedlander’s original compositions, culled from the 2008 LP ‘Broken Arm Trio’, the map is torn up and rearranged, co-ordinate points are splayed and reset, diverging and reconverging amidst myriad references of musical and cultural forms to make for a fascinating journey.
