From the moment the full band enters to the jilting, cha cha ending, this is an upbeat track that really gives breath to the phrase 'piano pop'. Driven by rhythmic, pounding chords, this immediately reminded me of Ben Folds Five on upbeat, commercial form.
It's a track that really has its own momentum, rolling along brilliantly underneath a throwaway melody in the verse and a flowing chorus, all of which comes together to create a solid sound and feel.
And all with a strong message too - 'for I'm not afraid, of a boy who beats on a girl....'
