This double a side 7" single proudly boasts that it is in Mono and one look at the cover makes clear SUNRAY wish it was still 1967/8 when a single being in mono still would make sense, even if being that retro now means they are the equivalent of a band in 1968 trying to sound like they should be played on a Victrola.
Still putting that aside, the A-side is exactly what you'd expect from a band who look like this. It's all paisley swirls and what sounds like them trying to make it sound like the guitars have been recorded through a Leslie and with heavy use of phasers. It's pretty good but needs to be a bit catchier than it is.

Then, on the b-side, Golden Dawn, they sound like they have had too much Orange Sunshine and have laid back and dropped out of sight into a swoonsome pastoral ballad that needs to be heard as the sun rises over a hill side at dawn. Preferably on midsummer's morning while frazzled on the Orange Sunshine. Totally out of step with our times but a very cool tune none the less.
