Ulrich Schnauss from Berlin on keyboards and Mark Peters from Liverpool on guitar make an odd couple. They joined forces through shared fascination for all things Shoegaze.
This is their second collaboration after Underrated Silence (2012).
Although they come from different musical backgrounds you can't really hear the join as they settle in for a gentle blend of ten ambient instrumentals that are labelled as "expressionistic landscapes".
The mellow drift of the tracks function as unobtrusive background music but will disappoint anyone looking anything more foreground orientated.
Only Walking With My Eyes Closed 2 features vocals, an emotionally neutral voice intones something about "simmering numbness" which inadvertently sounds a little too close for comfort to the mental state this record induces.
