With their origins traceable to the turn of the millennium, with their roots in the industrial sounds of KMFDM and Ministry, the duo soon altered their style in favour of the more aggressive electronic industrial leanings of the likes of Wumpscut, Velvet Acid Christ and Suicide Commando. Flip forward 13 years and they’re an altogether more violently metal kind of machine and their image is as extreme as their music.
‘Order Of The Shadow’ sure as hell is aggressive. Rapidfire, machine-gun rhythms power through a squall of sparking electronics and heavy chugging metal riffage while screaming vocals, distorted to fuck spew nihilism into the abyss. It’s dark, heavy and ferocious It’s a relentless, high-tempo electro thrash, a frenzy of fury from beginning to end. It’s a molten surge of adrenaline, for sure, and as an industrial / metal crossover of some quality, it has the potential to draw a broad fan base too.
