Review: 'KODIAK JACK'
'Alhambra'

-  Label: 'Angry Badger Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '24th February 2014'

Our Rating:
Kodiak Jack are from the Hampshire in England but this, their sophomore release, was recorded in Sacrimento, California at J Street Studios, home territory for producer Brian Wheat, bassist with fellow retro rockers Tesla.

The fact that they have re-recorded the first two tracks from their debut (Your Death: My Glory) suggests that they see this album as means to kick start their career. These tunes are Crossfire and the lead single (Wasted Youth)

They wear their muscular riff and roll credentials on their sleeves and it is clearly pitched at a commercial market aiming to emulate the success of US bands like Guns'n'Roses, Good Charlotte or Foo Fighters.

They say where there's a will there's a way and the band's determination is epitomised in tracks like No Surrender and Live To Fight, titles which give notice that they're ready to do battle with all comers.
