Review: 'Brace/Choir'
'Turning On Your Double'

-  Album: 'Turning On Your Double' -  Label: 'Tapete Records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '24th February 2014'-  Catalogue No: 'TR281'

Our Rating:
Describing their album as ‘idiosyncratic Trancerock’, Brace/Choir evoke the likes of Ride, Chapterhouse… The FX are used sparingly to create a layered sound rather than a wall of noise, but the baggy beats and spiralling organ that weaves through the guitars forge a dreamy indie vibe with a distinctly psychedelic edge. In place of conventional or overt structures, the repetition of nagging motifs provides the core to the songs and is key to their effect.
