Review: 'Waking Aida'
'How to Build a Space Station'

-  Label: 'Robot Needs Home'
-  Genre: 'Post-Rock'

Our Rating:
Streaming as a taster for their upcoming debut album ‘Eschaton’, ‘How to Build a Space Station’ is a quintessential post-rock instrumental work. It’s all about the noodle, the build, the break, the crescendo. The loud / quiet dynamic, too, is carefully constructed, and while it may not be a giant leap in the genre, it’s well executed.

Getting Jamie Ward of Maybeshewill to perform production duties was evidently a sound choice, and if Explosions in the Sky and 65daysofstatic are features of your collection, the chances are high you’re going to dig this.
