'No Blood, No Sympathy'

-  Album: 'No Blood, No Sympathy' -  Label: 'EasyRider Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '13th May 2014'

Our Rating:
Thunderous rock riffology, amps cranked up to 11, ‘No Blood No Sympathy’ is a no-messin’ album in a true vintage vein. It’s big and ballsy, the fuzz guitars are set to stun and the bass set to grind. As a work of hard-edged stoner rock, it drags the four horsemen of the Apocalypse over a blood-red horizon and into battle on the hell-hot deserts of Nevada.

‘Maker of the Moons’ slows things to a metal sludge drone, a behemoth riff grinds out like Sabbath on Ketamine (that’d be Melvins, then); ‘Graceless and Aged’ brings a nod to Mötorhead while ‘Ejaculation of Serpents’ sashays into the domain of trippy prog, both musically and lyrically.

Heavy as fuck and as stoned, sludgy and riffy as you like, ‘No Blood, No Sympathy’ is likely to give any fan of the stoner end of rock the hornss.
