Northern Irish group, the Wonder Villains, are an upbeat, pop explosion. Rather unusually, the new single draws influences from football and Italian manager Gianfranco Zola. ‘Zola’, from the album Rocky out June 23rd, epitomizes their sound with rhythmic percussion and distorted keyboard melodies. The vocal style adds to the completely eclectic sound. Think Hellogoodbye crossed with The Ting Tings then sprinkled with Alphabeat and you still wouldn’t have pinned their music down!
