Danny George Wilson was born in Australia, is based in London but clearly lives and breathes American soul and R'n'B.
Danny succinctly sums up his music as "Ronnie Lane meets Ronnie Spector".
After the dissolution of the band Grand Drive, with brother Julian, he formed the Champions Of The World in 2007.
Taking all releases into account this is Danny's eleventh album and his fourth with the Champ. The guy's a bona fide trooper.
The autobiographical (Never Stop Building) That Old Space Rocket recalls his introduction to the magic of music telling how he hitch hiked to a Fabulous Thunderbirds show with his father. "Give up on a dream and you know you've lost it" is the philosophy that has carried him through to this day.

Recorded over five days and assisted by loose collection of musicians, the rough and ready songs pay homage to the simplicity and directness of great pop music with an unashamed reverence for the classic country soul hits of the 1960s.
"I tried my best to Stay True" he sings on the title track and only a fool would deny that he has succeeded.
