Review: 'Twin Hidden'
'Paper Unicorn'

-  Genre: 'Indie'

Our Rating:
Musically, ‘Paper Unicorn’ is an immaculately-conceived and magnificently-constructed work of theatrical piano-led pop with strings that build drama and swing the mood with precision and poignant evocation. The video – produced over the course of a marathon 50 hours with a stack of A4 paper, one (1) glue stick, floss, and 70 packets of Cheerios (to keep them going) – is seriously impressive and visually striking. These guys have clearly got talent and vision.

Lyrically, it’s the biggest pile of bilge you’re likely to hear: I-i-i’ve made you a paper unicorn / it’s made from a hooooorse / just by adding a horn’.

The breathy, uber-thespy drama-school vocals delivered by these hipster bozos really are the clincher in rendering this some of the most pretentious bollocks I’ve heard in months.
