Review: 'KMFDM'
'Our Time Will Come'

-  Album: 'Our Time Will Come' -  Label: 'Metropolis Records'
-  Genre: 'Industrial' -  Release Date: '14th October 2014'

Our Rating:
Journalists are prone to hyperbole and exaggeration and while I always endeavour to keep it to a minimum, it has been but weeks since KMFDM launched the live album that commemorated their 30 yeas in existence. So what’s this? Yup, another studio album, that promises a bold declaration of unremitting purpose that – as always - bends the lines between techno innovation, punk snarl, metal aggression.

Sure enough, that’s exactly what they give us, too. Like The Fall or Melvins of the technoindustrial world, ‘Our Time Will Come’ sounds like, well, a KMFDM album. Brutal guitars and frantic synths are melded to pulverisingly energetic rhythms hammer through the album from beginning to end, battering the senses with no let-up and the abrasion is amped up to 10,000 volts.

It ain’t friendly, but somehow it is rather fun and it’s hard to be disappointed by a release that delivers exactly what it promises.
